The button activates a direct current motor that turns the air recirculation flap. The flap only has two positions.
When the motor has turned the recirculation flap to one of the end positions, the power through the motor is restricted to prevent overheating and
damaging the motor.
In the air recirculation position, the system does not allow any incoming air into the cabin and recirculates the old air.
