Fuel Pressure Regulator

WARNING
Removal of the fuel pressure regulator involves partial dismantling of the cars fuel system. The following points must therefore be observed in
connection with this work:

Work only in a well-ventilated area! It approved equipment for the extraction of fuel vapour is available then make sure it is used.

Wear suitable gloves! Prolonged contact with fuel can cause skin irritation.

Keep a class BE fire extinguisher close by! Be mindful of the danger of sparks caused by short circuits and when connecting and
disconnecting leads in electrical circuits.

Smoking is strictly forbidden.

To remove

IMPORTANT
To minimize any remaining fuel pressure, remove the fuel pump fuse no.32 while the engine is idling. Turn off the ignition once the engine has
stopped.
Fit fuse no.32.

Remove the engine cover.

Remove the turbo delivery pipe by:
-

detaching the hose from the turbo pressure sensor

-

undoing the screw securing the bypass pipe to the turbo unit inlet pipe.

-

unplugging the connector to the temperature sensor on the turbo delivery pipe

-

undoing the hose clips on the throttle body and charge air hose

-

undoing the screw securing the turbo delivery pipe to the mounting on the cylinder head.

Detach the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator.

Undo the screw and open the clamp.

Work loose the fuel pressure regulator.
