The NTC temperature sensor is located in the intake manifold before the throttle. The control module reads the air temperature in the intake manifold by
supplying the sensor with 5 V from pin 46 through a 2.74 kohm resistor integrated in the control module. The sensor is grounded from pin 67. The
voltage across the resistor in the control module is proportional to the temperature of the intake air.

The value is used together with the intake manifold pressure to determine the air mass per combustion. Injection duration is proportionate to this value.

Diagnosis

If the sensor voltage is too low, diagnostic trouble code P0112 will be generated.

If the sensor voltage is too high, diagnostic trouble code P0113 will be generated.

System reaction to a fault

Control module sets 8C (46F) as substitute value.

Fuel adaptation blocked.
