Seat Belts, Rear
The rear seat belts are of the three-point type in all three seats. The two inertia reels for the side seats are mounted in the C-pillar and the center inertia
reel is mounted on the parcel shelf.
The seat belts are fitted with a lock system which prevents further extension of the belt. The locking system is controlled by two independent activation
systems, one of which is sensitive to vehicle retardation and the other to a certain degree of belt acceleration.
The inertia reels for the side seats are fitted with automatic height adjustment to ensure comfort irrespective of the passenger's height.
In the 5-door version there are belt holders on the C pillars. The belt should be fastened in these when the backrest is tipped forward. This is to prevent
damage to the belt when the backrest is raised to the upright position.
