3. Connect the new chain to the old one with the link in the tool kit for timing chain replacement 83 94 660. Be careful to make sure that the chain
does not fall down!
4. Make sure that the new chain lies over the camshaft sprockets on the intake side.
5. Fit the chain support from the tool kit for timing chain replacement 83 94 652 and remove the cloth and cable ties from the camshaft sprocket.
6. With the old chain in your hand and the new one resting over your hand, carefully feed in the new chain while a helper turns the crankshaft.
Important: Be sure to keep the old chain under tension as it is fed forward. It might otherwise fold itself double down at the crankshaft.
