Cabin Air Filter: Removal and Replacement
Replacing The Fresh Air Filter
When driving in extremely dirty environments or for allergenic reasons, we recommend changing the fresh air filter at shorter intervals.
To remove
1. Remove Glove box and side trim on centre console.
2. Cut off the cable ties securing the wiring harness to the service cover. Cut also the cable tie holding the cooler hose to the glove box.
3. Remove the service cover.
4. Remove the fresh-air filter and filter element or particle filter.
Cars with older type of filter: Remove also the filter element.
5. Make sure there is a seal in the top part of the filter space. If the seal is missing: Affix a seal on top of the filter. Take note of the instruction
(arrows show the direction of airflow) showing how to fit the filter.
