Checking the Operating Current to Pins 1 and 2

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Unplug the connector:

Motor, recirculation flap. (38)

Connect test lamp 86 11 857 to pins 1 and 2 of the female connector.

Turn the air recirculation on and off repeatedly.
^
The red and green LEDs on the test lamp should light alternately as air recirculation is turned on and off.
Checking the wiring harness.
