Shift Linkage: Service and Repair
Removing In-Car
1. Lift up the main fuse box.
2. Engage 4th gear.
3. Secure 4th gear in the gearbox with locking pin 87 92 334.
4. Detach the linkage bracket on the engine mounting.
5. Detach the pinch-bolt clamp from the selector rod.
6. Detach the connection from the gearbox
7. Remove the linkage.
Fitting In-Car
1. Fit the linkage to the gearbox and selector mechanism but do not tighten
2. Screw the linkage bracket to the engine mounting.
