Fuel Gauge: Adjustments
Adjusting the Fuel Gauge/Sensor
Adjusting The Fuel Gauge/sensor
There are two different ways of adjusting the sensor/gauge, depending on the fault symptoms: whether the reading error is "equally large" from full tank
to empty tank or whether the reading error occurs only at a certain level. Adjustment of the fuel level sensor offset or, alternatively, the fuel gauge
reading, is possible.
Alternative 1. Gauge reading error across the whole scale.
1. Drain the fuel tank.

The Read Value should be 0 litres.
2. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
3. Add 10 litres of fuel to the tank.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
5. Read value Tank Contents. Adjust Tank offset to the correct value.
