The speed warning can be programmed between 0 and 250 km/h (0-155 mph). If the car exceeds the programmed speed, an acoustic signal is heard
every 3 seconds and the text "SPDW" flashes on the display at a frequency of 1 Hz (once a second).

Speed warning, ME

In the ME market, all cars are programmed with a speed warning which is activated when car speed exceeds 120 km/h. This function applies to both SID
1 and SID 2. For SID 2, this means that the normal SPD W (speed warning) can only be programmed up to 120 km/h.

The function can be programmed ON/OFF using the diagnostic tool.

CHECK Messages

General

SID can be used by all connected Systems to show CHECK messages. When the ignition is turned ON, "CHECKING" appears for approx. 4 seconds.
Then a CHECK message is shown if active.

The following message is shown direct (without a 4 second delay):

Key not accepted

If a CHECK message is initiated, an acoustic signal is heard, the INFO DISPL lamp in the main instrument unit lights and a message is shown. If the
message is preceded by a + sign, more than one message has been activated.

CHECK messages are shown in the following order of priority:

1. KEY NOT ACCEPTED
2. TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING
3. BRAKE LIGHT FAILURE
4. FRONT LIGHT FAILURE
5. FOG LIGHT FAILURE
6. REAR LIGHT FAILURE
7. WASHER FLUID LEVEL LOW
8. FILL COOLANT FLUID
9. SERVICE THEFT ALARM

10. REPLACE KEY BATTERY
11. TIME FOR SERVICE
