Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair

To remove
1. Raise the car and remove the rear wheel on the side in question.
2. Unbolt the transverse link from the longitudinal link and place a spacer between the upper and lower transverse links.
3. Press out the ball joint using Press tool 89 96 761 with tool KM-906 (KM-906-70, KM-906-61 KM-906-62).
To fit
1. Press in the ball joint using Press tool 89 96 761 with tool KM-906 (KM-906-70, KM906-63 KM-906-64).
2. Tighten the bolt securing the transverse link to the longitudinal link.
Tightening torque 50 Nm + 60° (70 ft. lbs. + 60°).
3. Fit the wheel.
Tightening torque 110 Nm (81 ft. lbs.)
Lower the car to the floor.
