Fuel Injector: Description and Operation

Injectors

The injectors are of solenoid type with needle and seat. They open when current flows through the coil and a powerful spring closes them when the
current is cut off.

In order to achieve the best possible emission control and drivability, the injectors are fixed by the fuel rail so that the jets of fuel do not strike the walls
of the intake manifold.
