Replacing right-hand headlamp cover

Cars in stock must be rectified before delivery.

A personal communication must be sent to the owners of cars already delivered requesting them to get in touch with the nearest Saab garage as soon as
possible to have the fault rectified.

Cars affected

Saab 9-5 M02 with petrol engine and within VIN interval 23000132 - 23015458.

Certain cars after VIN 23015235 may already have a cover with the new design.

Background

The right-hand headlamp cover, used when replacing bulbs1 can chafe the wiring harness of the mass air flow sensor. The old cover is replaced with a
new one in a new design.

54 02 383 Headlamp cover

Procedure

Check box C3 of the modification identity plate before proceeding. Continue as follows if the box has not been marked.
