1. Position the throttle body and screw it on with the 3 retaining screws. Fit a new seal if necessary and apply a thin layer of vaseline.
2. Connect the two coolant hoses to the throttle body.
3. Fit the vacuum hose and connection to the purge line under the limp-home solenoid.
4. Plug in the throttle body 10-pin connector.
NOTE: Spray the connectors with Kontakt 61 contact cleaner (part no.30 04 520).
5. Plug in the limp-home solenoid connector.
6. Attach the throttle cable to the throttle body pedal arm. Adjust if necessary.
7. Remove the clamps from the two coolant hoses on the throttle body.
8. Connect the turbo pressure pipe to the throttle body.
9. Start the engine and make sure all the connections are tight. Top up with coolant if necessary.
10. Replace the engine cover.
IMPORTANT
If the ignition is turned on while working on the engine, the Limp-home solenoid will be activated. If the ignition is put in position ON, the limp-home
mechanism must therefore be reset as described in "Resetting activated limp-home solenoid".
