Front Cross-Member: Service and Repair

Subframe, Petrol Engines 

This method is used when the same subframe is to be refitted.

To remove 
1. Remove the cover over the intake manifold.

Remove the two upper nuts from the exhaust flange.

2. Remove the bolts securing the rear engine cushion to the subframe.
3. V6 petrol engine: Fit lifting eyes, one on the back of the cylinder head and one on the front (after first unscrewing the existing bolt). Fit 83 95 287
