Keyless Entry Transmitter Battery: Description and Operation

General
The remote control is powered by a 3V lithium battery (CR 1632) and in normal use the battery will last for around 4 years. The battery should be
changed when the range falls.
For safety reasons, we recommend changing the battery once a year.
Battery warning (low voltage)
When the remote battery begins to lose strength, a battery warning is activated. When the warning is detected 10 times in a row, a CHECK message is
sent over the bus. SID reads the message and shows REPLACE KEY BATTERY in the display to make the driver away of the condition of the battery.
The battery should then be replaced immediately to avoid malfunction.
IMPORTANT
When the battery is changed or if the vehicle power supply has been disconnected, the remote control code must be synchronised TWICE by pressing
one of the buttons on the remote control 4-5 times in succession.
Synchronisation is confirmed when the central locking is activated.
