Disconnecting the  Angle Sensor

Disconnecting The Angle Sensor

To avoid false alarms if the car is parked on a moving floor, for example on a car ferry, the angle sensor can be disconnected.

Disconnection

The sensor is disconnected (with the key removed from the ignition) by holding down the NIGHT PANEL button for a few seconds. The glass breakage
sensor is also disconnected.

The disconnection is confirmed by the text DOOR ALARM ONLY appearing on the SID unit display. The car must then be locked within 3 minutes for
the disconnection to apply when the alarm is armed.

Connection

The disconnection is cancelled the next time the car is unlocked or when NIGHT PANEL is pressed again. The SID unit display then shows FULL
THEFT ALARM.

Important

If a fault occurs in the angle sensor, the CHECK message SERVICE THEFT ALARM appears on the SID display.
