Customer Satisfaction Campaign 835: Seal missing from connector between starter motor harness and engine wiring harness
Background
A seal is missing in the connector (H4-1) between the starter motor harness and engine wiring harness. This can mean that the connector pins corrode
and cause the starter motor, generator and oil pressure sensor to malfunction.
As from VIN Y3014157, a seal is fitted in connector H4-1.
Cars affected
Saab 9-5 with V6 engine, M99-M00 within VIN Serial Number ranges: X3000001 - Y3014156

Procedure
Before starting the procedure check box B4 of the modification identity plate. If the box is not checked, proceed as follows.

Open the hood (bonnet) and locate the brown connector H4-1, which is positioned In a bracket under the turbocharger deliver pipe by the battery.
Remove the connector by pressing In the catch (on certain cars the connector is secured to the bracket with a cable tie).

Unplug the two halves of the connector using a small screwdriver.
