Interior Lighting Module: Description and Operation
Interior Lighting

The car's interior lighting is switched on and off automatically or manually depending on the setting of the selector switch (1-0-2).

The selector has the following functions:

Manual (position 1 or 2)

For the interior lighting, +30 voltage is supplied via fuse 20 to control module pin 46. Pin 23 on the control module is connected to the light switch (53)

If the selector is set to 1, all the interior lighting is powered via the light switch (53) from pin 16.

If the switch is in position 2, no power is supplied to the interior lighting.

Automatic (position 0)

If the selector is set to 0, +30 voltage for the interior lighting is fed to DICE, pin 24. DICE receives information via the bus on the status of the doors
(OPEN/CLOSED; LOCKED/UNLOCKED) and the ignition switch (OFF/ON/ST). When DICE detects this information the control module switches the
interior lighting on or off accordingly.
Voltage +30 is fed or not fed from pin 16 on the selector switch (53) and pin 23 and pin 70 on DICE to the lamps (50F and 50C) of the interior lighting.
DICE monitors the interior-lighting circuit internally. The control module does this by measuring current and voltage across a resistor located in the
control module on pin 23. If the voltage/current ratio undergoes a change, DICE responds. In the case of high load, the control module shuts off the
output.
