All Saab 9-5 models are equipped as standard with the SRS, including belt tensioners.

Work in accordance with the safety and handling instructions in Air Bag Systems.

1. Fit the inertia reel and belt tensioner, 2 nuts and 1 screw.

Tightening torques:
Inertia reel 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.)

2. Reconnect the connector for the belt tensioner.
3. Draw the belt through the B-pillar trim and refit the strap guide.
4. Refit the B-pillar trim.

Check that the carpet and sill scuff plate are covered by the B-pillar trim.

5. Fit the door sealing strips around the B-pillar trim.
6. Attach the end fitting to the seat.

Check that the end fitting is correctly fitted by slackening the belt and pulling directly upwards with a force of 5 N. Check that the catch is visible
on the outside of the mounting.
