Exchange Of Ashtray With Wood Or Carbon Fibre Front Panel

Saab 9-5 with wood or carbon fibre front panel on the ashtray.

Background

When changing out an ashtray with a wood or carbon fibre front panel that has an undamaged front panel order an ashtray with a plastic front panel. The
old front panel should be moved to the new ash tray to avoid the differences in nuance and shading that can occur between different examples of wood
and carbon fibre inlays.

If the front panel of the ashtray is undamaged the following procedure should be performed.

53 31 251 Ashtray

Procedure

1. Pull the ashtray out of the holder.

2. Carefully bend the ashtray holder's clips out of the way using a screwdriver, first the 2 lower ones then the 2 upper ones, while pulling the ashtray

holder out.
