Oil Pan: Service and Repair

Oil Sump, Oil Strainer And Antislosh Baffle, To Change (In Car) 

To remove 

1. Unplug the heated oxygen sensor connector and snip the cable tie securing the oxygen sensor's lead. Note the run of the wiring and lower the

cable. Also undo the two upper nuts securing the front exhaust pipe at the turbo.

Important:

The cables must not be twisted. Twisted cables exposed to vibration can break.

The oxygen sensor is sensitive to impacts and jolting and must be handled with care.

2. Raise the car.
3. Remove the lower, rear spoiler section.

4. Remove the front exhaust pipe.
