On Star Warranty Guidelines:
All equipment supplied by OnStar on MY00 vehicles is covered by Saab's New Car Warranty (4 year/50,000 miles).
The Saab Technical Assistance Center (1-800-766-2857) may be called for assistance when diagnosing OnStar-related problems. However, VIUs and
VCUs replaced will require a Case Number from TAC. That Case number must be entered in the correction field of the warranty claim. Claims without
this information will be returned.
The VCU, VIU and button assembly will be requested for return to Saab's Warranty Parts Testing Department when the claim is paid.
Each component is packaged in a reusable container for returning the defective unit to Saab when requested.
