Air Bypass Valve: Service and Repair

Charge air bypass valve

To remove

Remove the cover over the connector for the engine wiring harness.

Unplug the upper multipin connector.

Unplug the two-pin connector from the control valve.

Undo the two retaining nuts and remove the windscreen cover panel's sealing strip.

Carefully pull the retaining panel outwards and unhook it from the edge of the bulkhead partition. Lift the unit straight up.

Unplug the lower multipin connector.

Mark the vacuum hoses and disconnect them from the valve.

Remove the holder and drill out the pop rivets.

To fit

Fasten a new valve to the holder with pop rivets.
Then refit in reverse order.
