1. Fit the seal retainer.

Tightening torque: 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)

2. Tap in the new seal with Drift 87 92 657. Lubricate the seal with gearbox oil.
3. Fit the Protective Collar 83 95 162, in the sealing ring.
4. Make sure that the drive shaft is clean and then fit the drive shaft in the tool.

IMPORTANT:  Fit the drive shaft in the gearbox until approx. 20 mm remain and pull out the tool before the shaft sealing surface reaches the
shaft seal.

5. Push in the rest of the shaft until the circlip clicks in.

6. Fit the ball joint to the steering swivel member and tighten.

Tightening torque 100 ± 45 Nm (74 ft. lbs.)

WARNING:  Make sure that the steering spindle journal is visible above the steering swivel member before the screw is fitted.

7. Fit the brake line in the mounting on the steering swivel member and fit the clip as well as the two mountings for the ABS lead.
8. Fit the wheel and tighten the wheel bolts.

Tightening torque 110 Nm (80 ft. lbs.)

IMPORTANT:  The wheel must hang freely when the wheel bolts are being tightened.

9. Fill oil in the gearbox to the correct level.
