On cars fitted with the Saab Audio System, the radio, tape and CD display can be shown on the SID.

When the radio, cassette player or CD player is turned on, the display automatically appears in the SID.

If a CHECK function becomes active, the audio information disappears from the display and the CHECK function is shown instead, at the same time as
an acoustic signal is heard.

Communication between the SID and the audio system takes place via the bus.

Auxiliary Heater

Diesel cars are equipped with an auxiliary heater as standard. The programming and timer functions for the auxiliary heater are integrated in the SID
unit. A so called parking heater can be installed in petrol cars.
