The following table describes the relationship between the internal terminals A, B, C and PA of the gear selector position sensor, the pins in the
connector H16-7, and the control module.
To ensure that the control module receives accurate information, it is important for the sensor to be correctly adjusted. Special tool 87 92 467 should be
used for adjusting the sensor.
Diagnostics
Diagnostic trouble code P0731 is generated in the event of a fault in gear position 1
Diagnostic trouble code P0732 is generated in the event of a fault in gear position 2
Diagnostic trouble code P0733 is generated in the event of a fault in gear position 3
Diagnostic trouble code P0734 is generated in the event of a fault in gear position 4
Diagnostic trouble code P0735 is generated in the event of a fault in gear position 5
Diagnostic trouble code P0736 is generated in the event of a fault in the reverse gear position
The transmission will go into the limp-home mode for all these DTCs.
