5.

Fit the new 0-ring on the ball socket. Use acid-free petroleum jelly.

6.

Press the ball socket down so that the three catches engage in the lever housing.

7.

Check that the ball socket is fitted securely by pulling the gear lever.

8.

Fit the gear lever gaiter's surround and the gaiter.
