1. Fit the solenoid.
2. Screw in the upper screw.
Tightening torque 2.5 Nm (1.8 lbf ft)
3. Spray the connector with Kontakt 61 (part no. 30 04 520). Plug in the connector and fit the rubber seal.
4. Tighten the lower screw (it can be difficult to reach) using a magnetic T15 bit.
Tightening torque 2.5 Nm (1.8 lbf ft)
5. Fit the cover on the throttle body pedal arm.
6. Put the engine cover in place.
IMPORTANT: On removal of the limp-home solenoid, the throttle body goes into mechanical limp-home mode. After fitting, the limp-home
mechanism must therefore be reset as described in Resetting activated limp-home solenoid.
