car's electrical system is abnormally high when the car is turned off. At the slightest suspicion of this being the cause of deficient battery
performance, the standing current must be measured.

Note

Always check that the customer is in possession of the code for the radio or any other equipment that may be relevant before disconnecting the 
battery.

1.

Important In order to protect the millimeters (multimeter), a jumper lead must first be connected between the negative and positive terminals of
the meter before connecting it.

Disconnect the positive battery cable and connect the millimeters between the positive cable and the positive battery terminal. Connect the positive
cable from the meter to the battery and the negative cable to the car's positive cable.

2.

Turn the ignition to ON but do not start the engine - the meter will be ruined.

3.

Turn the ignition key to OFF after 10 seconds, remove the key and close all the doors.
