Audio System

General

The audio system includes a central unit and several external units. It also interacts with other systems in the car.

Activation

The audio system is turned on/off by pressing the volume control knob. When turned on, the system starts with the latest settings active.

The system can be operated irrespective of the position of the ignition switch, even if the key has been removed. (+B information goes via the bus.)

If the ignition is turned (OFF) without removing the key, the audio system is automatically turned off 1 hour after one of the buttons was last pressed.
This applies even if the audio system is turned on with the car key in the ignition.

Controls

There are control buttons on the main unit for operating the system. Certain buttons are model-specific, while others are general buttons common to all
models:
