Disarming/Unlocking the Tailgate
Press the TRUNK button to disarm/unlock the tailgate only. The remainder of the alarm system is not affected. The flash/sound acknowledgement for
this function is programmable.

If the alarm was armed, the tailgate is now disconnected from the alarm system. The LED flashes quickly if the remainder of the alarm is armed
and disarming follows after the delay time.

When the tailgate is closed, a new delay time (10 sec) begins for the tailgate. Then the alarm is re-armed if the remaining alarm system was armed.
Important
If the ignition is turned on, the tailgate cannot be unlocked using the remote control.
It is not possible to disarm the tailgate using the key. If the tailgate is opened with the key when the alarm is armed, it will be set off.
This information on disarming the tailgate with the key does not apply to cars for the US/CA/LA market which are programmed for the key function.
