Starter motor must crank for a long time before engine starts

Cars affected
Saab 9-5 with B205E (150 hp) alternatively B235E (170 hp) engine.

Background

On certain cars, the starter motor must be engaged for a long time before the engine starts and some cars may feel uncomfortable during starting. After
customer complaint the procedure in this Service Information can be carried out.

91 17565 Spark plug BCPR6ES
(US: 02 44 772 Spark plug set (type BCPR6ES)
CA: 30520467 spark plug BCPR6ES)

Procedure

When changing spark plugs during a service, type BCPR6ES must be used. This will shorten starting time and improve starting comfort.
