Display Lighting Level
The SID unit calculates a suitable lighting level using the rheostat level and the level of light intensity in the car, which comes from the light sensor. The
display is lit by 4 bulbs easily accessible from the rear of the SID unit.
In the dark, the rheostat level controls the lighting. When the light levels in the car increase, the value for the light intensity in the car takes over. This
ensures that all displays remain legible.
The SID unit sends the calculated value out on the bus as DISPLAY LIGHTING LEVEL, unit %.
Engine Off Time
"Engine Off" Time
The SID unit calculates the engine off time using bus information from the Trionic "ENGINE START-ED," unit ON/OFF, and when the ignition (+15
circuit) is turned OFF and then ON again. "ENGINE OFF TIME," unit minutes, is used by the SID unit for the outside temperature function, etc.
The information ENGINE OFF TIME, unit minutes (max. 255 minutes) is sent out on the bus.
