Then, follow the directions given on Tech 2.

Disconnect Tech 2 from the car and connect it to the COM port of the computer (flat cable). See figure. TIS 2000 must be installed on the
computer. If necessary, see the "Installation" section.

Select SPS on the computer and follow the directions on the computer.

See if there is a newer software version on the computer than the one that is at present in Trionic. If there is, download it to Tech 2.

Disconnect Tech 2 from the computer and reconnect it to the car.

Important: 

Make sure the car's battery is in good condition and turn off all power consumers:

Lights (pull daytime running light fuse)

^

Radiator fan (unplug the connector at the radiator fan)

Start Tech 2 and select:

F5: Service Programming System (SPS)

Select:

F1: Programming Control Module
