Background
On occasions, the AIR BAG lamp may go on without the presence of a permanent fault in the airbag system. Apparently, the fault can be insufficient
crimping of cable lugs in the electrical harness between the control unit and the seat connector. Diagnostic trouble code B2863 or B2868 will then be
generated.
In the event of complaints from customers, proceed as follows.
Note:
Provided the VIN limits are applicable, the measures described in SI 850-2108 "False diagnostic trouble codes from side airbag" are also to be
carried out.
