Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair
Front Suspension

Front Bushing

To remove

1. Raise the car. If a jack is used, safety stands should be placed under the car.
2. Remove the front wheel on the side of the car where the suspension arm is to be removed.

3. Unbolt the suspension arm from the subframe at the rear attachment point.
4. Unbolt the suspension arm at the front attachment point.
5. Remove the bolt securing the steering swivel member's ball joint to the steering swivel member and lower away the suspension arm.

NOTE If the steering swivel member's ball joint does not come away easily, a screwdriver or the like can be used to pry apart the clamping jaws of
the steering swivel member.

6. Press out the bush using Press tools 89 96 787 (KM-508-1 and KM-508-3).
