Power Mirror Motor: Service and Repair
Outside Rearview Mirror Motor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the mirror face. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement (See: Service and Repair/Outside Rearview Mirror Glass
Replacement).
2. Remove the screws retaining the mirror to the mirror housing.
3. Remove the mirror motor from the housing.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mirror motor.
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the electrical connector to the mirror motor.
2. Install the mirror motor to the mirror housing.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice).
3. Install the screws retaining the mirror motor to the housing.
Tighten the mirror motor screws to 10 Nm (88 in. lbs.).
4. Install the mirror face. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement (See: Service and Repair/Outside Rearview Mirror Glass
Replacement).
