Water Outlet Housing Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet housing. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LL8) (See: Radiator Hose/Service

and Repair/Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement)Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LH6) (See: Radiator Hose/Service and Repair/Radiator Outlet
Hose Replacement).

2. Remove the power steering pump bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement (See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Power

Steering/Power Steering Pump/Service and Repair/Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement).

3. Remove the water outlet housing bolts.
4. Remove the water outlet housing and seal. Discard the old seal.

Installation Procedure

1. Remove any burrs or foreign material from the sealing surface of the engine cylinder head and the water outlet housing.

2. Install a NEW seal and the water outlet housing.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice).

3. Install the water outlet housing bolts.

Tighten the water outlet bolts to 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.).

4. Connect the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet housing. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LL8) (See: Radiator Hose/Service and
