3. Fill the transfer case with the proper fluid. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Transfer
Case/Specifications/Capacity Specifications).
4. Apply pipe sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the fill plug threads.
5. Install the fill plug.
Tighten the fill plug to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
