1. Correctly position the spark plug washer.
2. Inspect the spark plug gap. Adjust the gap as needed.
Spark plug gap: 1.524 mm (0.060 in)
3. Hand start the spark plug in the corresponding cylinder.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice).
4. Tighten the spark plug.

For used heads, tighten the plug to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).

For NEW heads, tighten the plug to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the spark plug wire. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement (See: Ignition Cable/Service and Repair).
6. If removed, install the washer solvent container. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement (See: Wiper and Washer
Systems/Windshield Washer Reservoir/Service and Repair).
