Removal Procedure
Notice: Refer to Heated Oxygen and Oxygen Sensor Notice (See: Service Precautions/Heated Oxygen and Oxygen Sensor Notice).
Notice: Refer to Excessive Force and Oxygen Sensor Notice (See: Service Precautions/Excessive Force and Oxygen Sensor Notice).
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Unscrew the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) sensor from the catalytic converter.
3. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer.
4. Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector (3).
