Spare Wheel Hoist Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the spare tire from the spare tire carrier.
3. Remove spare wheel hoist assembly mounting bolts from the frame.
4. Remove the spare wheel hoist assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the spare wheel hoist assembly to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice).

2. Install spare wheel hoist assembly mounting bolts to the frame.

Tighten the spare wheel hoist assembly mounting bolts to the frame to 50 Nm (37 in. lbs.).

3. Install the spare tire to the spare tire carrier.
4. Lower the vehicle.
