Grind with light pressure to remove the high spots first. (Leave overall surfacing until last.)

Remove the grinding block and clean the abrasive cloth after about 5 seconds of grinding. It will be necessary to repeat the process
approximately four times.

Engage reverse and repeat the process twice to finish the disc.

8.

Remove the grinding block, clean the disc and reinstall the outer brake pad, reconnect the parking brake cable and reinstall wheel.

9.

Readjust parking brake.

Pull the parking brake lever up 5 notches.

Pump the brake pedal until the parking brake will hold when pulled up another 2 to 4 notches (7-9 notches total).

10.

On vehicles with automatic transmission reset idle speed to specification.

11.

Road test.

Recommended abrasive cloth for use with kit P/N 89-96-191:

Aluminum oxide abrasive cloth is available in 9 x 11 sheets in 50 or 60 grit from 3M Company. Have your jobber order "THREE-M-ITE,
ELEK-TRO-CUT" Cloth. 3M ordering numbers: 50 grit - 2412, 60 grit - 2411.

NOTE! Removing the discs and machining them on a lathe is usually unnecessary and risks removal of too much material from the disc. It is not
recommended for the problems described above.
