Insert a punch or awl through the hole left by the stud and make a small horizontal slit in the inner strip (Figure 5).

From the outside, thread a cable tie through the stud hole and the new slit and then through the bottom hole for the fastener (Figure 6).

Spread sealant (3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive) on the back of the seal and press the seal back into position. Wipe off any surplus sealant. The
sealant will help prevent water leaks. Tighten the cable tie. (Figure 7)
NOTE:
Do not cut off the end of the tie. Instead, insert it behind one of the lips of the seal.

Repeat the procedure on the other side.
