Introduction

Saab-Scania was unable to incorporate the high-mounted brake light on 1986 Saab 900 models produced before September 1, 1986, the effective date of
a new Federal requirement for such a light. Customer interest in the high-mounted brake light has prompted this Service Campaign through which we are
offering to install a Saab brake light kit on early 1986 models at no charge.

Purchasers of affected vehicles will be notified of this offer via a letter which instructs them to contact their Saab dealer if interested. The owner letter is
attached to this S.I. Read this letter carefully.

Your dealership will receive an initial quantity of brake light kits proportional to the number of affected cars sold by your dealership. We expect to be
shipping initial supplies during the second week of April 1986.

Parts Involved

The following parts will be sent to your dealership in a quantity equaling 50% of those vehicles listed on your status list. Order any additional supplies as
needed.

Warranty Information

Use a regular warranty claim as in Saab Service Campaigns. Follow the claim instructions given below. No additional parts or time may appear on the
claim.

Labor Allowance:

Install high-mounted brake light kit. Enter the following labor in the straight time area:

Installation Instructions

Instructions are included with each high-mounted brake light kit supplied by Saab. Please refer to them before and during the installation.
