    Front and rear calipers are the same except for the parking brake mechanism incorporated in the front caliper. 

1.

Remove caliper, clean housing, and mount in vise.

2.

Remove return spring from hand brake lever, remove yoke from housing, then remove yoke spring and hand brake lever, Fig. 4.

Remove dust cover retaining ring and dust cover, then force indirect piston out using compressed air.

Remove direct piston by applying hand pressure to pushrod.

5.

Remove O-rings and seals from pistons and caliper bores, and remove 2 O-ring retainers from hand brake lever opening.

6.

Wash parts in solvent, rinse with clean brake fluid and blow dry with compressed air. Do not wash indirect piston in solvent or brake fluid, as
lubrication will be washed out. Wipe piston clean for inspection, and if found defective, replace as an assembly.

7.

Inspect components and replace as needed.

8.

Install new O-rings lightly lubricated with clean brake fluid.

9.

Mount brake housing in vise. Lubricate piston bore with clean brake fluid, and hand brake lever opening with suitable grease.

10.

Fit anchor plate on pushrod, insert rod in indirect piston, and ensure that recess in anchor plate fits over piston pin.

11.

Lubricate indirect piston with clean brake fluid and insert piston in housing so that recess for yoke is aligned with groove in housing.

12.

Lubricate direct piston with clean brake fluid, insert piston into housing, and screw piston onto pushrod.

13.

Install both pistons so that groove for dust boot is even with housing, then install new dust boots and retaining rings.

14.

Install yoke spring and hand brake lever on yoke and install yoke, lifting hand brake lever to engage shaft with hole in indirect piston and ensuring
that yoke fits into groove in piston.
