When changing engine coolant, the block must always be drained in conjunction with the radiator. Use drain plug (2) when draining the block on all
M85-, 8 valve and 16 valve engines.
When re-installing the plug, torque to 11 ft.lbs. (15 N-m). Should for any reason you remove the larger plug (3), torque to 22 ft.lbs. (30 N-m).
