Application:

All Saab Models with Lambda Sensor

Saab Pulse Ratio Meter, P/N 83 93 597, has been discontinued and will only be available until current supplies are exhausted. Two different accessory
cables are available, however, that permit ISAT to be used for checking the lambda pulse ratio on cars with both CIS and LH fuel injection systems.

Instructions for Using ISAT to Check Lambda Pulse Ratio

Connect the appropriate accessory cable to the vehicle test plug and to the black and red DMM ports on the ISAT (See Figure 1).

NOTE

The ISAT will be powered only by its Internal NiCad battery during lambda pulse ratio testlng. Dependlng on the condition of the battery, recharging
may be necessary after the pulse ratio feature is used.

The ISAT battery can be recharged by connecting ISAT to one of the communications ports on a 1990 or later Saab or by removing the battery and using
a charger designed to recharge 9 volt NiCad batteries.

Turn the ISAT on and make the following selections in order: MEAS, TSI, LAMBDA and B201 or B202.

Start the engine and observe the pulse ratio. A reading of 60% corresponds to a 60/40 pulse ratio.
