Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection
Delivery Pressure
1.
Turn the fuel pump switch to the on position and momentarily pinch closed the fuel return line. The fuel pressure should rise immediately to
approximately 6 Bar. If the pressure does not reach 4.5 Bar, proceed to step 2.
DO NOT ALLOW THE FUEL PRESSURE TO RISE ABOVE 83 PSI (6 BAR).

Check to see that the voltage at the fuel pump connection is at least 11.5 volts. Also check for a restricted fuel line or filter. If the fuel lines and
filter is good, replace the fuel pump.
NOTE: If the fuel filter has been installed backwards, the filter is no good and must be replaced.
3.
Check the fuel pump relief valve. If the valve is defective, replace the fuel pump.
